Kazakhstan’s Embassy presented works of Abay in Ethiopia
A festive event dedicated to International Mother Language Day was held at Addis Ababa University. Its participants were representatives of the ministries of science and higher education, culture, the media, the scientific and cultural circles of Ethiopia, as well as the diplomatic corps of Addis Ababa, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to the Kazakh MFA’s press service.

The program of the event included speeches by representatives of different countries, including Kazakhstan. As part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the birth of great Kazakh poet Abay, the team of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia presented his work and performed the song “Kozimnіn Karasy” in Kazakh.
Within the framework of the official part, welcoming remarks were made by the Ministers of Culture and Science of Ethiopia, the President of Addis Ababa University, and the representative of UNESCO.
