Kazakhstan receives avian influenza-free status
The information regarding the recognition of Kazakhstan as a country free of AI has appeared the World Organization for Animal Health’s official site, Strategy2050.kz informs referring to the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry.
Such an achievement has been made possible thanks to Kazakhstan’s Veterinary Service, as well as the Agriculture Ministry, the Veterinary Control and Inspection Committee, Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute.
Poultry is among key sectors of Kazakhstan’s agribusiness, largely focusing on egg and meat products.
The status is due to realize the export capacity of the country’s agribusiness, contributing to the economic development and image of Kazakhstan.
The measures are in line with the President’s tasks on finding new markets.
