Kazakhstan launches social cards of families

4 October, 2019 15:41

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population completed the exceptional project – the Social Card of a Family, which allows viewing a person as a family unit, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the Ministry.

The project determines the status of a family through automated data from the government bodies’ information systems. These are used for organizing social assistance or employing family members in dire situations.

The information system E-Halyk covering 18.4 million people, that is, the entire population, issues the digital social cards of families, enabling the Ministry to be aware of the situation of every family.

To spot difficult life situations 19 basic parameters received from the government bodies’ information systems come in handy, including movable and immovable property, income, subscriptions to medical or educational institutions, the incidence of socially significant diseases, addictions, disabilities, criminal records, residence permits and others.

The digital card of a family contributes to better monitoring Kazakh residents’ well-being index, as well as warns in case there is a need for immediate step. Thus, the system’s algorithm helps promote residents’ living standards without waiting them to seek help.
