Kazakhstan is ranked 25th in Doing Business rating
The World Bank has raised Kazakhstan’s position in the ranking on the ease of doing business by 3 points - from 28 to 25 place, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Improving the position of Kazakhstan in the Doing Business rating was made possible thanks to the ongoing systematic work of the Government to reform the existing legislation, improve the licensing system, simplify business creation procedures, optimize the state control and oversight activities and improve the business climate.
The work to improve the conditions for business development will be continued, in accordance with the instructions of Leader of the nation N. Nazarbayev and Head of State K. Tokayev.
The World Bank annually publishes the rating of 190 countries on favorable business conditions. The analysis is carried out on 10 indicators, including the time and money spent on creating a new business, obtaining building permits, access to the electricity infrastructure, registration of property rights, obtaining loans, protecting the rights of minority investors, taxation, international trade, etc.
Kazakhstan is ahead of Iceland (26th place), Austria (27th place), Russia (28th place), Japan (29th place), Spain (30th place), Armenia (47th place), Belarus (49th place), Kyrgyzstan (80th place) and many other countries.
The leaders in the Doing Business rating are New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong.
