Kazakhstan finished 12th at Military World Games in China
China’s Wuhan saw the closure of the 7th International Military Sports Council Military World Games, where teams from 109 countries took part, the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Kazakh Defense Ministry informed.
Xu Qiliang, chairman of the 2019 Military World Games organizing committee and vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, announced the closure of the 7th CISM Military World Games.
The Wuhan Games are the biggest CISM event, Capt. Batyr Tuyakov, head of the media services of the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Kazakh Defense Ministry, said.“The Games demonstrated the true morale, determination, skills and professionalism of military personnel. The Games were full of wonders and new achievements. I am certain that the athletes left their mark on the Chinese history,” he said.
"The Games took place under the title “friendship through sport”. 10 days saw total 9 308 military personnel, including 67 Olympic medalists and world champions, from 109 countries competed in 329 tournaments in 27 sports. 7 world records were set,” Capt. Batyr Tuyakov, head of the media services of the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Kazakh Defense Ministry, said.
The team of the Kazakh Armed Force was 12th in the 7th International Military Sports Council Military World Games medal table, with 4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals.
