Kazakhstan beats Netherlands in Davis Cup doubles
Kazakhstan sealed a 2-1 victory over Netherlands with the first decisive doubles win of the Davis Cup by Rakuten Madrid Finals, Olympic.kz reports.
Kazakh tennis players Mikhail Kukushkin, who returned after his singles win, and Alexander Bublik won in the Davis Cup’s doubles match against Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer (Netherlands).
Captain Diaz Doskaraev’s decision to leave the initial doubles and partner Mikhail Kukushkin and Alexander Bublik in the match with Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer paid off, putting the Kazakhs top of Group E ahead of their clash with Great Britain.
