Kazakh Senate Speaker met with Chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly
The Chairwoman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, Dariga Nazarbayeva, attended a meeting with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the press service of the Senate.
The meeting touched upon the prospects for the development of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations, as well as interaction within the framework of parliamentary organizations.
Senate Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva stressed that Armenia is a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eurasian Economic Union.
“Relations between our States are developing dynamically in an atmosphere of complete mutual understanding and trust. We look forward to keeping and developing them in the future for the benefit of the peoples,” she said.
She considers it important to develop multilateral contacts within the organisations such as the CIS IPA, CSTO PA, IPU and OSCE PA.
Special attention was placed on the cooperation group between the parliaments of Kazakhstan and Armenia as the Kazakh Senate Speaker noted the need for effective use of the existing potential to exchange experiences in lawmaking.
Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, on his part, called the Kazakh-Armenian relations friendly and allied, emphasizing that Armenia attaches great importance to the dynamic development of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation with Kazakhstan.
After the meeting, a Kazakh Senate delegation headed by Dariga Nazarbayeva took part in the planting of trees on the Chairmen’s Alley in the park of the National Assembly of Armenia. According to the Kazakh Senate Speaker, seedlings will serve as a reminder of the bonds of friendship that hold our countries and peoples together.
