Kazakh Senate Deputy partook in Women Leaders Global Forum
The Deputy of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, Dana Nurzhigitova, has attended the Women Leaders Global Forum held by the Women Political Leaders Foundation in Reykjavik, the Government and the Parliament of Iceland, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Senate press service.
The Forum has brought together about 500 representatives of political, business, academic and non-governmental organizations from around the world, as well as UN Women.
The Forum aims at exchanging the best practices, promoting gender issues, including the role of women in political decision-making, conflict prevention and resolution, etc.
Dana Nurzhigitova has met with the Speaker of the Althing (Icelandic Parliament) Steingrímur J. Sigfússon and the representatives of the parliaments of other countries on the sidelines of the event.
Since 2017, the Women Leaders Global Forum has been held annually in the northernmost capital of the world - Reykjavik.
