Kazakh President receives Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources
The meeting has seen Minister Magzum Mirzagaliev reporting on the execution of instructions of the Head of State in the ministry’s key areas, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Akorda press service.
In particular, the President has been informed about the development of the Environmental Code. According to the minister, the draft Code, prepared taking into account the public opinion and best practices of OECD countries, was submitted to the Parliament for consideration.
The President has also heard work on the new state programs for water resources management and exploration.
The Head of State has instructed the minister to carefully analyze all aspects of the country's water security in developing the appropriate programmes, and also pointed out the importance of attracting foreign investors in exploration.
