Yang Jiechi informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of measures taken by China's leadership against coronavirus infection.
The Head of State praised China’s efforts to curb the epidemy, having reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s intention to jointly counter this global threat.
"The Republic of Kazakhstan stands in full solidarity with the efforts and decisive actions of the leadership of the People's Republic of China at this difficult moment. As Chairman Xi Jinping said, it is the period of the most difficult trials in recent years fallen on the Chinese people. I think that together we will deal with difficulties that, unfortunately, arise from time to time. We will continue moving forward along the path of developing and strengthening strategic partnership between our states”, the Head of State emphasized.
During the meeting, the sides considered the prospects for strengthening Kazakh-Chinese ties, as well as the interaction of the two countries in the international arena.
"Let me convey the best wishes from President Xi Jinping. Last September, for the first time, you arrived in our country on a state visit. Then, together with the President of China, you announced the development of further comprehensive strategic partnership and gave a new impetus to Chinese-Kazakh relations”, Yang Jiechi said.
