Kazakh President had several meetings in UAE
As part of the official visit to the United Arab Emirates, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held several meetings, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to Akorda.
There was a meeting with Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC Group).
ADNOC is the leading oil and gas producer in the UAE and ranks 4th in the world. Its own deposits of raw materials are estimated at 100 billion barrels, and daily production reaches 2.4 million barrels of oil.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the situation in the world oil and gas markets, the production and export of which form the basis of the economy of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan pays a great priority to deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials. In this regard, the state provides conditions for the implementation of projects in petrochemistry.
“The petrochemical industry is strengthening in Kazakhstan. In the future, we intend to cooperate with your company in this direction.” the Head of State said.
A meeting with Hussain Jasim Al Nowais, the Chairman of the Board of Al Nowais Investments also took place as part of the visit to the UAE.

Al Nowais Investments owns controls and manages a diversified portfolio with an annual turnover of more than US$1 billion dollars, and is the largest investment structure not only in the United Arab Emirates, but also within the entire Middle East region.
Hussain Jasim Al Nowais informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the projects that his company is implementing in the fields of industry, energy, infrastructure and healthcare.
President Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan invests in renewable energy sources, and in order to move in this direction, the concept of the country's transition to a “green economy” has been implemented since 2013. He also noted that Kazakhstan has a number of projects in the public-private partnership, adopted and implemented a program for the development of health care until 2025.
The President of Kazakhstan also met with Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aldar Properties.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the current state of the Abu Dhabi Plaza project, which is being implemented by Aldar Properties. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak said that additional work is currently being carried out to complete the construction of a multi-purpose complex in Nur-Sultan in a timely manner.

The President expressed hope that the project, which is one of the largest in the construction industry of our country, will be completed in a timely manner and will serve the interests of the people.
In addition, the Head of State drew Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak's attention to the potential of cooperation in the tourism industry.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan has identified 10 priority tourist destinations, which are planned to provide all necessary world-class infrastructure. According to him, the country is implementing a number of measures of state support for this sphere, including tax incentives and provision of basic infrastructure.
While the meeting of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and with Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, the Chairman Abu Dhabi Global Market, Minister of State to the United Arab Emirates Cabinet, discussed the implementation of joint projects of the Special Economic Zones of Abu Dhabi with the Astana International Financial Centre. According to Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, there are concrete plans to develop mutual cooperation.

President Tokayev expressed gratitude to Abu Dhabi Global Market for the work carried out in Kazakhstan, and also confirmed the intention to strengthen cooperation in financial market regulation.
The Kazakh President’s official visit to the UAE saw tours of Wahat Al Karama - war memorial and monument in Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

“I bow my head in memory of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, the great son of his nation, Founding President of the UAE. I wish the fraternal people of the Emirates well-being, prosperity and new glorious achievements,” reads the entry Kassym-Jomart Tokayev left in the Honorable Guests’ Book of the Mosque.
