Head of State meets with Swiss President Ueli Maurer in narrow format
An official meeting ceremony at the Akorda Presidential Palace took place prior to the bilateral talks as the national anthems were played and the Head of the Honor Guard unit saluted the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Switzerland. After the ceremony the Presidents have had talks in narrow format in the "East Room", the Akorda press service informs.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said that Switzerland is one of the most important partners of Kazakhstan on the European continent.
“Our countries enjoy traditions of good cooperation in all areas, and especially in the economic. Switzerland is one of the main trading partners and investors of the Kazakh economy,” the President of Kazakhstan has said.

The Kazakh President has stressed that the arrival of a representative Swiss business delegation together with the President will give a deeper meaning to the visit.
Ueli Maurer has expressed his gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm welcome and emphasized that his country considers Kazakhstan as a very important partner.
“We express our heartfelt appreciation for your political support. We share the same goals and ideals. Speaking of economic relations, there has been the growth in recent years. I think the exchange of visits will further strengthen ties,” the Swiss President said.
