Kazakh Foreign Minister met with the Canadian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi held a meeting with the of the Canadian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the European Union and Europe, Stéphane Dion, who has arrived in Nur Sultan on a working visit, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service informs.

The Kazakh Minister congratulated the Liberal Party, with its leader Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, on their victory in the recent parliamentary elections.

The parties noted the successful development of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Canada.

Stéphane Dion, in his turn, praised the investment opportunities created in the country to attract foreign investors, and also noted the desire of Ottawa to further build constructive and mutually beneficial relations with Nur Sultan.

The importance of simplifying the visa regime between the two countries was noted.

The parties also discussed the prospects of political interaction in the international arena.
