Kazakh delegation visited International Green Week 2020 exhibition in Berlin
The Kazakh delegation, led by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov, took part in the opening ceremony of the Green Week 2020 International Food Exhibition in Berlin, the Ministry’s press service informs.
The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Governor’s Offices of Akmola, Northern Kazakhstan and Karaganda regions.
During the visit, the Kazakh first vice minister of agriculture met with the Parliamentary Secretary of State of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany Michael Stübgen, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Germany (BMEL), ministers of agriculture of Estonia, Romania and Mongolia, as well as with authorized representatives of CLAAS, the new composition of the Kazakhstan-Germany Agrarian and Political Dialogue project and the head of the German Farmers Association.
At a meeting with the Parliamentary Secretary of State of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany, Michael Stübgen, issues of cooperation dairy farming and investments and technologies’ attraction to Kazakhstan were raised.
“We had a number of meetings with German companies, in particular with our main partner, CLAAS. As you know, work is currently underway to open a joint venture in Kazakhstan. It is necessary to accelerate that. We agreed with representatives of the German concern that they will come to Kazakhstan to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister who is in charge of agriculture,” Aidarbek Saparov said.
He went on to say that Kazakh agricultural producers would benefit greatly from the experience of developing dairy farming in Germany, in particular in the field of farm management, the use of modern integrated systems, etc.
The agreement reached with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Germany regarding access to German farms, where the most advanced technologies and robots were introduced, as well as to factories that produce milking plants and other necessary equipment, was also discussed.
Noting that the high level of the exhibition, Aidarbek Saparov announced the plans of Kazakhstan to present its pavilion next year and show the best Kazakh agricultural products.
In turn, the Parliamentary Secretary of State of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany, Michael Stübgen, thanked the delegation for accepting a proposal to attend a specialized exhibition.
“In December, we had a conversation with Minister Saparkhan Omarov. From the very beginning we had a complete understanding. Now it is important to continue the work that we have begun. Our Ministry is always ready to answer your questions and suggestions,” he said.
