17 January, 2020 15:13

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Lithuania, Viktor Temirbayev, paid a working visit to the city of Tauragė (Lithuania) on 15 January 2020, the Kazakh foreign ministry informs.

The Kazakh diplomat met with the Mayor of Tauragė, Dovydas Kaminskas, the business community, and toured the industrial zone, including Vilkyškių pieninė, one of the large milk processing plants in Lithuania, and the FB PRODUCTION parquet board factory.

The meetings led to the agreements on cooperation between Tauragė and the Kazakh regions and participation of city entrepreneurs in the Kazakhstan-Lithuania: Prospects of Cooperation Business Forum involving mayors and businessmen of Lithuanian cities scheduled for 2-4 March 2020 in Almaty.

Dynamically developing and focused on creating the most optimal conditions for introducing a business, the city of Tauragė is also known for its ambitions to become the greenest city in Lithuania, with the city generating 120 megawatts from alternative sources, which exceeds its electricity need.
