Kazakh ambassador presented credentials to Russian President

6 February, 2020 10:20

Yermek Kosherbayev, new ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation, presented his credentials to President Vladimir Putin on 5 February 2020, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Kazakh foreign ministry.

The Russian leader called the relations between Russia and Kazakhstan exemplary, an example of reliable strategic partnership and alliance.

“Bilateral interaction is based on strong historical, cultural and spiritual ties between our peoples. We highly appreciate the achieved level of trust and interaction with the leadership of Kazakhstan. Last year, we held nine meetings with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. And, of course, we maintain the closest contact with our good friend Nursultan Nazarbayev,” Putin said.

The Russian President recalled that largely thanks to the joint efforts of Russia and Kazakhstan, integration within the EAEU has been steadily developing. According to him, trade and economic relations between the two countries are expanding in all directions, including in industry, energy, and investment.

“Russia and Kazakhstan are closely coordinating approaches to issues on the international agenda. Kazakhstan, as you know, provided a platform for organizing the Astana negotiation process for Syrian settlement,” Putin said.

The ceremony held in the St Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, credentials were presented by ambassadors of 23 foreign countries, including the USA, Germany, Great Britain, France, China, Iran, Australia, Sweden, etc.
