Kazakh Ambassador met with Turkmenistan’s Ministers
Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerkebulan Sapiyev held working meetings with Minister of Education Mammadmurad Geldyniyazov and Minister of Culture Atageldi Shamuratov, Strategy2050.kz has learnt from the Kazakh MFA’s website.
During the meeting with Mr. Geldyniyazov, the sides discussed issues related to the current state and prospects for development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in education and science. They also considered the issues of education digitalization, the exchange of experience, teachers and students, participation in school and student international competitions, the conclusion of separate agreements between advanced higher educational institutions of the two countries.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan Sapiyev and Minister of Culture Shamuradov exchanged views and suggestions on further strengthening the Kazakh-Turkmen relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. In particular, they discussed issues of holding bilateral cultural events this year, including the Culture Days of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan, expanding the legal framework for cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, as well as implementing possible joint projects in the culture sphere.
Following the meetings, the Kazakh diplomat informed the interlocutors about the anniversary state events planned in 2020 to celebrate the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi and the 175th anniversary of Abai Qunanbaiuly, and also invited the Turkmen side to actively participate in scientific conferences and symposia devoted to al-Farabi and Abai’s heritage.
