Kazakh ambassador Berik Aryn met with Mecca emir

The Kazakh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Berik Aryn, paid a courtesy visit to Mecca province governor Prince Khaled al-Faisal on 17 September 2019, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

While meeting the sides went over the current level of the Kazakhstan-Saudi Arabia relations and exchanged the views on the ways for greater cultural and humanitarian and trade and economic ties.

The Kazakh diplomat marked the interest of Kazakhstan in further close political and trade and investment cooperation with the Kingdom. He stressed the importance of boosting direct contacts among business circles using the potential of the long-lasting experience of the chambers of trade and commerce of Jeddah and Mecca.

The Kazakh ambassador expressed gratitude to the Saudi Arabian government and the leadership of Mecca represented by Prince Khaled al-Faisal for the care and help to the Kazakh citizens making the umrah pilgrimage and the hajj. He also marked the high organization of the hajj pilgrimage in 2019 with 3.2 thousand Kazakh nationals visiting the sacred sites in Saudi Arabia.

Aryn also presented Prince Khaled al-Faisal with the significant domestic political changes taking place in Kazakhstan following First Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s historical decision to stand down as President.

His Royal Highness Prince Khaled al-Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia’s willingness to develop comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan, considered to be among the leading States of the Islamic world.

He outlined that the support to pilgrims, including Kazakh ones, creating favorable conditions for them to stay in the sacred sites is a noble mission of the Kingdom.
