Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to address at UN event

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take part in today’s High-Level Event “Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond”, which is organized at the initiative of the UN and will be held in the format of a video conference, Strategy2050.kz reports citing President’s press secretary Berik Uali.
“Today President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take part in the High-Level Event “Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond”, which is organized by the UN and will be held in the form of a video conference. The Head of State will speak on behalf of the Group of Developing Countries that do not have access the sea, which is currently chaired by Kazakhstan”, the press secretary wrote on his Facebook page.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, leaders of other countries and international organizations are expected to address during the session, as well.
