IV Abai readings starts in Kazakhstan
The annual literary challenge “Abai readings” honoring the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, educator and philosopher, has started by the library of the First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Strategy2050.kz reports.
The purpose of the event that will last until August 20 is the information and image support for the Modernization of Kazakhstan’s Identity program and the initiative of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on celebration of the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbaiuly.
To take part in the challenge, you need to record a video of expressive reading of any works of Abai (in Kazakh, Russian or English) and nominate other people for the challenge. Then post the video on Facebook or Instagram under the hashtags #БиблиотекаЕлбасыАбай, #читаемАбая175 or #ЕлбасыКітапханасыАбай, #АбайдыОқимыз175.
