Representatives of international organizations, including the Astana Civil Service Hub, which are members of the Advisory Group of the EIP together with its Secretariat (OECD), discussed the measures taken on a peer-to-peer basis in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Strategy2050.kz reports.

During the online meeting of the Advisory Group of the Effective Institutions Platform (EIP) with the participation of the EIP co-chairs and the Secretariat discussed the issues on implementation and development of a joint work plan and EIP methodology in connection with the current situation.

Members of the Advisory Group also presented innovative solutions taken on the peer-to-peer basis by their organizations and alliance practitioners during the coronavirus pandemic. One of such example was presented by the World Bank - the Open Learning Campus (OLC), which accelerates the development of solutions through exchanging of knowledge, learning and the transforming global knowledge into actionable learning.

In turn, Ms. Diana Sharipova, a member of the Advisory Group from the Hub’s side presented the results of the Virtual Alliance, which includes more than 15 innovative and practical cases of the Hub’s participating countries against the COVID-19 pandemic. This platform provides an opportunity to explore the experience of many countries, and to create their own unique solution through operative partnership to improve the efficiency of public administration in times of crisis.

The meeting also addressed the development of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Learning (MEL) system based on the peer-to-peer principle to identify the effectiveness of learning in practice. As a result of the discussion, it is planned to prepare a MEL report and conduct joint activities.

It should be noted that the Advisory Group along with the Astana Civil Service Hub (ACSH) comprises the Government Partnerships International (GPI, UK), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the World Bank (WB) and other international organizations.
