Information regarding passenger flights to/from Nur-Sultan and Almaty
Pursuant to the instructions of the State Commission on Ensuring the State of Emergency under the President of Kazakhstan, at 12:00 am on March 22, 2020, the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty will postpone regular and irregular (charter) passenger flights of all Kazakhstan’s airlines, with the exception of international and cargo flights, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
320 scheduled flights a week to/from Nur-Sultan will be suspended on 16 domestic routes to the cities of Almaty, Balkhash, Taldykorgan, Petropavlovsk, Taraz, Shymkent, Zhezkazgan, Kyzylorda, Uralsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Semey, Aktau, Atyrau , Aktobe, Kostanay, etc., to/from Almaty - 295 regular flights per week on 18 domestic routes to the cities of Nur-Sultan, Balkhash, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Taraz, Shymkent, Zhezkazgan, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Uralsk, Oskemen, Pavlodar, Semey, Urdzhar, Aktau, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanay, etc.
According to the Protocol of the State Commission on Ensuring the State of Emergency under the President of Kazakhstan No. 1 dated March 16, 2020, the airlines need to issue air tickets refund without penalty and in full for the duration of the state of emergency.
In order to avoid crowding, we recommend passengers do not go to the airports of the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty starting from 12:00 am on March 22, 2020.
