Head of State visits Hazrat Sultan Mosque
Whiling visiting the Hazrat Sultan Mosque, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with the recently elected Supreme Mufti Nauryzbay kazhy Taganuly to congratulate on his appointment to this high post and wish success in his work, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Akorda’s press service.
Both have discussed issues regarding the role of Kazakhstan’s Spiritual Administration of Muslims in strengthening unity and stability in the country, as well as in countering the spread of destructive religious movements.
“We must consolidate society on the principles of harmony, unity and cohesion. Under the current conditions, with negative processes taking place around the world, we need to put a barrier in their path. It is necessary to organize high-quality explanatory work, which will serve the interests of the whole people,” the Head of State has said.
The Supreme Mufti, on his part, has presented the President the plans for informational, organizational and charity work. The Spiritual Administration of Muslims’ activity, according to him, is to be based on seven spiritual pillars: morality, patriotism, upbringing, unity, hard work, high culture and justice.
