Head of State met with World Tourism Organization’s Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out that the importance of holding the UNWTO Global Summit on Urban Tourism “Smart city, smart destinations” in the Kazakh capital, Strategy2050.kz informs with reference to the Akorda press service.
“Your visit is of great significance. I would like to express gratitude for your personal support for the candidature of Nur-Sultan to be the venue for the 8th Global Summit of the World Tourism Organization. For Kazakhstan, tourism development, including ecotourism and urban tourism, is of great significance. We look forward to cooperating with your organization,” the President said.
On his part, Zurab Pololikashvili thanked the Head of State for the meeting and noted the importance of the UNWTO’s interaction with Kazakhstan in developing domestic tourism.
