Head of State met with members of National Council of Public Trust
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met lawyer with Aiman Umarova, political scientist Daniyar Ashimbayev, and publicman Auyt Mukibek, Strategy2050.kz refers to Akorda’s press service.
At the meeting with well-known human rights activist, lawyer Aiman Umarova, the issues of protecting the rights of citizens and improving legislation in this area were discussed. In particular, Umarova raised issues regarding the decriminalization of article 130 and amending article 174 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan.
Having noted the importance of the proposals, the President stressed the need to use the experience of foreign countries in the implementation of anti-discrimination legislation.

During the conversation with political scientist Daniyar Ashimbayev, proposals to strengthen monitoring of state programs’ implementation and the activities of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund by actively involving the expert community and the public were considered.

During the meeting with public figure Auyt Mukibek, the issues of migration and improvement of migration legislation were raised. The interlocutor supported the initiative of the Head of State to reject the word “oralman” in favor of “kandastar”.
