Head of State, Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs met

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Kang Kyung-wha, who is in Nur-Sultan to attend the 12th meeting of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Forum, Strategy2050.kz reports citing Akorda’s press service.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current state and prospects of the bilateral strategic partnership, and also discussed the progress in implementing the agreements reached at the highest level.

The Head of State noted the high dynamics of the Kazakh-South Korean trade, investment and technological cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.

“Your President’s visit in April this year was very productive. The Fresh Wind program, which was signed during this visit, is very important in terms of giving an additional impetus to the development of cooperation between our countries. We are interested in further enhancing cooperation in the field of economics and business”, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized.

In turn, the South Korean diplomat conveyed greetings from President of the country, Moon Jae-in, and confirmed the readiness to further deepen the partnership with Kazakhstan, both bilaterally and regionally.

“We look forward to your visit to our country next year. The results of my President’s visit to Kazakhstan have become very fruitful. The agreements reached during this visit outlined specific directions for building up further cooperation, which are being successfully implemented by the relevant bodies of our states. Everything is developing in the right direction. We will make every effort to ensure that your visit to South Korea opens up new horizons for our cooperation”, Kang Kyung-wha said.
