Head of State is on a working visit to Germany
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived with a 2-day working visit to Munich (Germany) to attend the 56th Munich Security Conference, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Press Secretary of the Head of State, Berik Uali.
The Head of State is due to take part in panel discussions and hold a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders, heads of international organisations, large German companies and well-known experts in the field of international relations.
“The central event of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s participation in the Conference will be a presentation on a parallel panel discussion on regional security under the topic “Geography Matters: A Conversation on Central Asia,” the President’s spokesperson said on his Facebook page.
He added that about 40 Heads of State and Government, more than 100 heads of foreign affairs and defense departments, and reputable experts in the field of international relations will gather in Munich to participate in the event.
The agenda of the 56th Munich Security Conference includes topical issues of world development and global security. Conference participants will discuss the issue of trade wars and sanctions, the situation in the Middle East, the relationship between the European Union, the USA, Russia, China and other countries, the security challenges in Europe, the future of the EU and NATO, as well as modern threats in the areas of cybersecurity and health, the fight against disinformation, etc.
