Gross agricultural output increased by 2.2% - Minister of Agriculture

Against the coronavirus pandemic this year, the agricultural sector maintains a situation of stability. Gross agricultural output increased by 2.2%, food production grew by 2.4%. Fixed investment in agriculture increased by 10.1% and amounted to 98.4 billion tenge. This was reported by Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov during a meeting with the population, Strategy2050.kz reports.
According to him, gross output increased by 2.3% in livestock farming. The increase in production was due to an increase in meat production by 3.6% and milk by 3.2%.
In crop production, to ensure the timely conduct of spring field work in 2020, all necessary measures have been taken and today sowing work is nearing completion.
