Google presents three apps for gadget dependents
Google has presented new applications that will motivate people to spend less time on gadgets, Strategy2050.kz has learnt from MIR 24.
The company’s Digital Wellbeing project has replenished with three applications.
The first Envelope program prompts a user to print the PDF file, which is folded into an envelope, and put the device there. In this case, only call and camera functions will remain available. So far, this experimental application is only available for the Pixel 3a smartphone.
The Screen Stopwatch application is an interactive display background that displays the time, date and amount of time spent on the phone per day.
The Activity Bubbles program also shows how much time a person spends on his gadget. Unlike the previous application, Activity Bubbles visualizes this time with bubbles. Each time the device is unlocked, a new bubble appears on the wallpaper, which increases depending on the duration of the session.
Google has long been struggling with gadget addiction. In the fall of 2019, the company introduced the Paper Phone application, which sends the information the user needs to print so that he can work with it on paper, but not through a small display.
