Golovkin’s next fight date decided
Holder of the IBF and IBO middleweight world champion titles from Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin (40-1-1, 35 KOs) has planned the date of the next fight, Strategy2050.kz refers to Sports.kz.
According to insiders Mike Coppinger (The Athletic) and Dan Rafael (ESPN), the fight will be held on March 28. The opponent will be Polish boxer Kamil Sheremeta (21-0, 5 KOs). The fight will take place at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, where the largest Polish diaspora resides.
As Sheremeta said, the negotiations between the parties have already been completed and the fight will be officially announced soon.
This fight will be the third for GGG under the contract with the streaming service DAZN and the first defense of the IBF and IBO titles, which he won in the fight with Sergey Derevyanchenko (13-2, 10 KOs) on October 5.
