First President Foundation and British scholars to implement educational projects
The First President Foundation’s delegation supported by the Kazakh embassy in Great Britain held meetings in London on the cooperation in implementing the Foundation’s programmes, Startegy2050.kz informs with reference to the press service of the First President Foundation.
The negotiations with the leadership of the British Council, the Research and Educational Center of Cambridge University, the Kazakh-British Community, the members of the House of Lords, as well as with Kazakh post-docs and undergraduates took place.
Asset Issekeshev elaborated on the launch of the two new initiatives proposed by Nursultan Nazarbayev, they are “El umiti” (the nation’s hope), which is a new system to identify and support talented children and youth, and “Kamkorlyk” (Care) aims at supporting children with disabilities.
The meetings saw the signing of a memorandum with the University of Cambridge as well as an agreement was reached to implement educational programmes and research, and promote the startup projects of the First President Foundation’s winners and laureates.
Now the bases of the robotics, engineering centres and the Cavendish Laboratory, which is famous for its scholars, are available to Kazakh youth for practical exercises. 34 Nobel Prize winners studies in the Cavendish Laboratory.

The Foundation’s delegation also attended meetings on the issues of medical and social rehabilitation and inclusive education of children with special needs.
There was a meeting held in Chatham House, which is among the most authoritative think tanks and is listed in the top-10 of the University of Pennsylvania’s Global Go To Think Tank Index Report.
The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between Chatham House and the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP) at the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Foundation’s delegation paid special attention to research activities including through developing international partnership.
Cooperation memorandums were struck with the following organizations: UNICEF, Casa Asia at the Government of Spain, Korea Foundation, the Goi Peace Foundation and the German Academic Exchanges Service (DAAD).
