First batch of Kazakh beef delivered to Beijing
Beijing Xinfadi International Exhibition Center of Agricultural Products hosted an official ceremony dedicated to the supply of the first batch of high-quality frozen products from the leading Kazakhstani beef producing and exporting companies to the Chinese capital, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to Agriculture Ministry’s press service.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Beijing city government, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
This event was preceded by large and coordinated work of the veterinary services of Kazakhstan and China. As a result of successful negotiations to open a market for the export of Kazakhstani beef, a framework protocol was signed in Beijing on June 7, 2018, a veterinary certificate was agreed in April 2019, and the following month, the main customs department of China included four Kazakhstani enterprises in the list of beef exporters to China. Since the opening of access to the Chinese market, they have delivered almost 4.5 thousand tons of beef.
Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan continues to expand the list of Kazakhstani enterprises that have the right to export beef to China.
