Reports were made by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Birzhan Nurymbetov, Governors of Kostanay region Arkhimed Mukhambetov, Kyzylorda region Gulshara Abdykalikova, Mangystau region Serikbay Trumov, and Mayor of Shymkent Murat Aitenov.
As part of the implementation of all state programs, this year it is planned to cover employment measures of 1 million 220 thousand people, of which 600 thousand people — under the Enbek state program, 255 thousand people — according to the Employment Roadmap 2020, 364 thousand people — under the state programs Nurly Zhol, Digital Kazakhstan, Nurly Zher, Business Roadmap - 2020, etc.
Enbek state program includes measures for microcrediting start-up projects, expanding business, training an additional specialty, finding social jobs, relocating from labor-surplus regions to labor-deficient ones, and others. 176 billion tenge are provided for this purpose. Since the beginning of the year, over 260 thousand people have applied for participation in the program, of which 184 thousand people — more than 70% — are currently employed.
The Prime Minister emphasized that employment is a key priority, especially in the current environment of economic and business recovery.
“We experienced a difficult situation. The state of emergency and quarantine were in force for two months. Enterprises and businesses did not work. Currently, there is a process of economic recovery. As part of this work, a package of anti-crisis measures and a comprehensive plan aimed at revitalizing the economy, preserving and creating jobs were adopted. We must provide people with work, a steady income, thereby improving their well-being. Therefore, the issue of employment is now of paramount importance for all of us,” said Mamin.
The head of the Government noted the good dynamics of the implementation of measures to support employment in East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Zhambyl, Pavlodar regions. Shymkent, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan and Mangystau regions are considered lagging behind.
“This is an indicator of insufficient work of akimats, urgent measures must be taken in these areas. All tools to support employment are available, they must be actively applied. On this issue we will conduct constant and systematic monitoring. According to the results of six months, the issue of employment will be considered at an expanded meeting of the government chaired by the Head of State,” said Mamin.
The Prime Minister instructed to take concrete measures to enhance employment in all state programs.
