Since the beginning of the year, over 260 thousand people have applied for participation in the program, of which 184 thousand people — more than 70% — are currently employed.
The Prime Minister emphasized that employment is a key priority, especially in the current environment of economic and business recovery.
“We experienced a difficult situation. The state of emergency and quarantine were in force for two months. Enterprises and businesses did not work. Currently, there is a process of economic recovery. As part of this work, a package of anti-crisis measures and a comprehensive plan aimed at revitalizing the economy, preserving and creating jobs were adopted. We must provide people with work, a steady income, thereby improving their well-being. Therefore, the issue of employment is now of paramount importance for all of us,” said Mamin.
The head of the Government noted the good dynamics of the implementation of measures to support employment in East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Zhambyl, Pavlodar regions. Shymkent, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan and Mangystau regions are considered lagging behind.
“This is an indicator of insufficient work of akimats, urgent measures must be taken in these areas. All tools to support employment are available, they must be actively applied. On this issue we will conduct constant and systematic monitoring. According to the results of six months, the issue of employment will be considered at an expanded meeting of the government chaired by the Head of State,” said Mamin.
The Prime Minister instructed to take concrete measures to enhance employment in all state programs.
