Employers from Karaganda, Kostanay regions and Nur-Sultan top e-labour exchange

According to the results, Karaganda region had about 19.6 thousand vacancies with 8.5 thousand job seekers, while 19.2 thousand employees were required in the capital, Nur-Sultan, with 3.9 thousand resumes posted, and in Kostanay region, where the labour demand was 17.4 thousand and the labour supply was only 2.6 thousand.

The smallest numbers of vacancies were placed in Kyzylorda (4.8 thousand), Northern Kazakhstan (5.6 thousand), and Atyrau (6.1 thousand) regions. The number of job-seekers in these regions was 4.3 thousand, 2.6 thousand and 4.1 thousand, respectively.

“In general, in most regions, the largest layer of job-seekers was observed among professionals: in Karaganda region, the cities of Almaty and Shymkent, about half of the resumes placed belonged fell into that professional group. Almost the same number of resumes in the group of production equipment operators, assemblers and drivers were posted in Western Kazakhstan region - 44%, and about a quarter in Eastern Kazakhstan and Northern Kazakhstan,” Dmitry Shumekov, Director of the Forecasting Department of the Workforce Development Centre, said.

In addition, the largest percentage of job-seekers in Atyrau and Mangystau regions - about a quarter in each region - looked for work in the fields of industry, construction and transport.

In Akmola region, the largest numbers of resumes (22.6%) were posted in the group of service and sales workers.

Following the results of 4Q, the smallest numbers of job-seekers were for senior positions and the civil service, as well as in the professional group of farmers and workers in agriculture, forestry, fish farming and fishing.
