Elbasy met with Supreme Judicial Council’s Chairman

First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy met with Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Talgat Donakov, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to elbasy.kz.
During the meeting, the First President of Kazakhstan was informed about the implementation of the reform of the judicial system and the measures of the National Plan regarding the selection and training of judicial personnel.
“The Supreme Judicial Council is selecting judges. This work must be objective. Judges must be selected in accordance with a real competition. They must be educated, honest, able to work with people”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In turn, Talgat Donakov spoke about the measures taken to ensure transparency in the selection of judges.
“The situation is changing. Confidence in judges is growing. The work has become as objective and transparent as possible. A special competitive commission has been created, which includes not only judges, but also representatives of the legal community, HR specialists, and independent experts. Those cadres that go to courts today are more prepared and responsible”, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council said.
