Elaine M. Conkievich completes her mission as UN Women Representative in Kazakhstan

Yerzhan Ashikbayev, deputy foreign minister of Kazakhstan, received Elaine M. Conkievich as she is completing her mission as the UN Women Representative in Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry informs.
The Kazakh deputy foreign minister expressed gratitude to UN Women for providing the support to the Kazakh government on the promotion of gender equality in Kazakhstan, noting the efforts on preparing the fifth periodic report on the Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women in the UN Committee in Geneva, as well as the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
