E Kazakhstan rgn freezes international bus traffic with Russia and China
Nurzhan Zhumadilov, chief of the Transport and Highways Department of East Kazakhstan region, spoke about the prevention of coronavirus infection at transport facilities, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the InfoCentre of the region.
Since March 13 this year, all public transport in East Kazakhstan region switched to a 3-fold cleaning in accordance with sanitary rules.
In addition, for safety reasons, the region suspends the international bus traffic with the Russian Federation - 16 directions, and China - 4 directions.
Along international and transit railways on the territory of East Kazakhstan region, the Tashkent-Novosibirsk route traffic has been suspended since March 16, and the Almaty-Novosibirsk route has been shortened to Semey since March 18. Also, on March 22, the Tomsk-Ridder traffic will be suspended, and on March 23, Bishkek-Novosibirsk.
Since March 18, international flights on the Ust-Kamenogorsk-Moscow route have been suspended. Since March 23, the movement of the Ust-Kamenogorsk-Novosibirsk route will be suspended.
Nurzhan Zhumadilov noted that according to the information of S7 Airlines, flights have been previously suspended until May 31 this year. To return tickets, passengers must contact the place of purchase.
