Central Asian Foreign Ministers gathered in Tashkent to discuss coop
The foreign ministers discussed the agenda, examined the draft joint statement and regulation of the upcoming consultative meetings of the Central Asian Heads of State. The state of and the prospects for further strengthening regional cooperation were considered as well.
First held on the initiative of First President Nursultan Nazarbayev on March 15, 2018, in Nur-Sultan, the working (consultative) meeting of the Central Asia Heads of State allows the Central Asian leaders to identify the basic priorities of the five-sided cooperation and outline future plans.
Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Kazakh foreign minister, pointed out that the development of comprehensive cooperation with Central Asian countries as well as the strengthening of the region’s role is a key priority for Kazakhstan’s foreign policy.
The meeting’s attendees commended the Uzbek side for the event and Uzbekistan’s efforts aimed at further development of regional integration.
