Atyrau rgn to build large associated gas processing plant at Kashagan
As part of a working trip to Atyrau region, Prime Minister Askar Mamin held a meeting on the construction of an associated gas processing plant at the Kashagan field, Strategy2050.kz has learnt from primeminister.kz.
Ministers of National Economy Dalenov and Energy - Nogayev and Governor of Atyrau region Dosmukhambetov, heads of state bodies and national companies reported on financing issues, state support measures, gas balance and expected effect from the implementation of this project.
The project for the construction of the gas processing plant at the Kashagan field is planned to be implemented by the end of 2021 in Makatsky district of Atyrau region. The design capacity - 1 billion m³ per year. Investor - GPC Investment LLP. The volume of investment is $ 860 million.

“The construction of the gas processing plant at the Kashagan field is an important project for the country, which will increase oil production at the field by 12 million tons, as well as create 2800 temporary (during construction) and 600 permanent (during operation) jobs”, Mamin said.
The Head of Government noted that the plant’s products will be delivered both to domestic and foreign markets.
“Since October of last year, we comprehensively studied this project. Today’s meeting should be considered as the final one in deciding on the construction of the plant”, Prime Minister Mamin emphasized.

As part of his working trip to Atyrau region, the Prime Minister also visited enterprises producing equipment and components for the oil and gas industry - Caspian Plus LLP, International Pipeline Structure Solutions Caspian, Caspian Contractors Trust Atyrau.
