Astana Opera's principal dancers to perform at the Kremlin Palace
International ballet stars, Astana Opera’s Principal Dancers, Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan Aigerim Beketayeva and Bakhtiyar Adamzhan will perform at one of the most prestigious theatre and concert venues in Russia. On December 1, a grand gala concert Māris Liepa. With Love will take place at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Strategy2050.kz has learnt from Astana Opera’s press service.
“It is a great joy for us to dance at the annual celebration of ballet art, to see our dear colleagues and friends again. First of all, we express our sincere gratitude for the invitation to the author of the project Andris Liepa. This evening, for the sophisticated Moscow audience, we will perform Phrygia and Spartacus’ adagio from Aram Khachaturian’s ballet Spartacus staged by Yuri Grigorovich and the Spring Waters Pas de Deux choreographed by Asaf Messerer to the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff”, the soloists noted.
Together with Kazakh dancers, the concert will feature: People’s Artists of Russia Yulia Makhalina (Mariinsky Theatre), Ilze Liepa, Dmitry Gudanov, as well as Ekaterina Krysanova, Kristina Kretova, Alena Kovaleva (Bolshoi Theatre of Russia), Maria Khoreva, Vladimir Shklyarov, Kimin Kim (Mariinsky Theatre), Oksana Kardash (Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre), Constantine Allen (Dutch National Ballet), Julian MacKay (Mikhailovsky Theatre), Alessandro Staiano (Teatro San Carlo, Naples), Maria Eichwald. The Host and Director of the evening is People’s Artist of Russia Andris Liepa.
It is worth noting that this is not the first performance on this illustrious stage for the Principal Dancers. Thus, Bakhtiyar Adamzhan participated in all programs of Andris Liepa’s project Autographs and Images. In April of this year, the Astana Opera Ballet Company, led by the Artistic Director People’s Artist of Russia Altynai Asylmuratova, presented Michel Fokine’s famous ballet Scheherazade to the music by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov at the concert Vaclav Nizhinsky. The Great Artist’s 130th Anniversary. In 2018, Aigerim Beketayeva and Bakhtiyar Adamzhan performed at the Maya Plisetskaya.
