Astana announces Vuelta a Andalucía roster
The Astana Pro Team is going to take part in the 2.Pro stage race Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista De Sol, which will be held on February 19-23 in Spain, Stratgey2050.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.
7 racers will represent Kazakhstan at the Vuelta a Andalucía Jakob Fuglsang, Ion Izagirre, Dmitriy Gruzdev, Aleksandr Vlasov, Daniil Fominykh, Hugo Houle and Vadim Pronskiy.
Sports directors in race will be Alexandr Shefer and Giuseppe Martinelli.
The Vuelta a Andalucía (Tour of Andalusia) or Ruta del Sol (Route of the Sun) is a regional Spanish road bicycle race first held in 1925. Since 2005, it has been a 2.1 category race on the UCI Europe Tour. The race will become part of the new UCI ProSeries in 2020.
