Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with UN Under-Secretary-General
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia, Barlybai Sadykov, met with UN Under-Secretary-General, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Vera Songwe, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
The Ambassador acquainted the interlocutor with the new Concept of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy, including priorities in cooperation with the UN and African countries. The importance of promoting the interests of landlocked African developing countries (LLDCs) was noted. Kazakhstan, as Chairman of the UNLCNM Group, is planning a number of events on this topic, including in Addis Ababa.
V. Songwe expressed ECA's readiness to cooperate closely with Kazakhstan on a number of these priorities, including on LLDCs. The parties agreed on further cooperation.
