29 September, 2021 14:53
On September 29, the Astana International Exchange launched new exchange-traded notes (ETN) on the AIX Qazaq Index, reports a Strategy2050.kz correspondent. These ETN allow investing in the largest Kazakh companies, including Kaspi, Kazatomprom, and Halyk Bank.

"The new exchange note today will become available for trading not only on the stock exchange, but also in the mobile application for retail investors - Tabys. And this means that any Kazakh citizen can start investing and increasing his or her income together with successful Kazakh corporations, starting from small amounts," said AIX Board Chair Renat Bekturov.

The launch was pressed by famous and the captain of women's tennis team Yaroslava Shvedova and the rising star of Kazakhstan tennis Zhibek Kulambayeva.

The AIX said It is symbolic that Kazakhstan's first financial product, which reflects the activities of national economic leaders representing Kazakhstan in the global investment community, was launched by sportswomen that make Kazakhstan known in global sports.

The exchange note is listed on AIX in two forms:
- AIX Qazaq Index – exchange-traded note with a passive investment approach, investing substantially all its assets in Kazakhstani equities in weights determined by AIX Qazaq Index;
- AIX Qazaq Index Active – actively managed investment vehicle intended to outperform the AIXQI by taking the momentum and adopting an opportunistic approach.
