New outdoor museum opened in Almaty

A new outdoor sculpture garden opened at the premises of Kasteyev State Museum in Almaty. Mayor of Almaty city Akhmetzhan Yessimov, merited masters of art and culture, representatives of intelligentsia took part in the opening ceremony of the unique art project.
Almaty Mayor noted the uniqueness and significance of the event in light that the Almaty was selected as the CIS cultural capital of 2014, the press service of the Mayor’s Office reported.
The head of the city stressed such facilities plays an important role in realization of Concept of Cultural policy of the city. It is a unique art-platform that offers free admisison all day long.
Almaty confirms status of cultural center of Kazakhstan and one of the key cultural centers at the CIS space. 228 cultural facilities operate in the city. Movie and Concert Hall in Alatausky area will be put into commission this year.
