Kazakhstan improved its positions in the Global Competitiveness Index- Ministry of Justice
“Kazakhstan climbed up 19 positions in the Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum in terms of “Institutes” factor and now takes 73rd place,” the minister said.
Besides, according to him, the Law “On justice authorities” states that one of the key tasks of the ministry is to implement the state policy in the sphere of protection of intellectual property rights.
“The ministry fulfills this task in accordance with the article 21 of the law by means of improvement of the legislation and expansion of the international contractual basis, etc. One of the important aspects of the work is to bring the legislation in compliance with international standards,” Imashev emphasized.
Kazakhstan is a participant of the basic 19 conventions and treaties of the World Intellectual Property Organization. As B.Imashev noted, the provisions of the international agreements were implemented in the national legislation.
