CICA Secretariat changes address - Y. Ashikbayev (BRIEFING VIDEO)
The CICA Secretariat will be moved to Kazakhstan's capital in the nearest future. The move is expected to be completed by the end of this summer. The Secretariat will be officially presented here in Astana in early September," Vice Minister Ashikbayev said.
Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is a multi-national forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.
The idea of convening the CICA was first proposed by H.E. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on 5 October 1992, at the 47th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The First Summit Meeting held in Almaty on 4 June 2002.
