National council for culture and arts to be established in Kazakhstan
"The concept will help shape up new cultural mindset in Kazakhstan. In the first place, the concept will change our approach to culture, because it is the basis of spiritual growth," the minister said introducing the concept to the upper chamber of the Kazakh Parliament.
According to him, the concept envisages the creation of the national council for culture and arts affairs that is set to coordinate the work of government bodies, especially the Ministry of Culture, and interact with MPs, business community and creative associations.
Minister Mukhamediuly stressed that draft concept of cultural policy until 2030 was drawn up on an instruction of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. In his words, draft decree "On concept of cultural policy" will be submitted to the Presidential Administration until September 1, 2014.
