RER hare in country’s energy balance to reach 3% by 2020- Kapparov (BRIEFING VIDEO)
“Within the framework of implementation of the concept on transition to the green economy, the ministry determined target indicators for the renewable energy resources (RER) sector development and developed specific measures to achieve these indicators. The RER share in the country’s overall power balance is planned to be increased to 3% by 2020,” N.Kapparov emphasized.
In addition, the Minister of Environment and Water Resources also said that in late May, the Government of Kazakhstan approved the tariffs for electricity generated by renewable energy sources. The rate for solar power is 34.61 tenge per 1 kW/h, for small hydro power plants - 16.71 tenge per 1 kW/h, for biogas equipment - 32.23 tenge per 1 kW/h.
The rate for electricity from solar plants using photovoltaic modules on the basis of Kazakhstan’s silicon is 70 tenge per 1 kW/h with power generation up to 37 MW," Mr. Kapparov added.
