KazCosmos: KazEOSat operates as per normal
Acting President of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" Marat Nurguzhin told the satellite is functioning in a normal mode.
On the third day KazEOSat-1 snapped the first images of excellent quality from space.
As reported earler, the Kazakhstan`s first Earth remote sensing satellite has high spatial resolution of 1 meter, swath width - 20 km, the satellite's capacity is 220 thousand square kilometers per day, life in orbit for more than 7 years.
Currently testing of Earth remote sensing spacecraft in orbit is going on. Our experts jointly with French colleagues are leading accompaniment of the satellite, creating maximum load to identify its possibilities," M. Nurguzhin said.
In accordance with plans, on-orbit testing of the spacecraft will be continued until the end of summer, after which the satellite will be transferred for management to the customer JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary".
