Astana holds Day of Saratov region
The Governor of Saratov oblast V.V. Radayev delivered a solemn speech. In his speech he noted a special role of Saratov oblast and Astana city in development of bilateral relations between the two states.
An Agreement on cooperation has been signed between the Trade agency of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Saratov oblast.
Besides, a Memorandum on cooperation has been signed between the Government of Saratov oblast and the National Chamber of entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It bears reminding, the oblast is located in the center of a major energy-producing zone, at the intersection of trade and transport arteries, and it has been a transport junction of Russia for many years connecting its center with Ural, Siberia, and Middle Asia. Its territory provides the most convenient entrance to states of Middle Asia and to the Republic of Kazakhstan. There are also a lot of resources and mineral deposits – oil, gas, construction raw materials, oil shale, drinking and balneal mineral waters.
